Starting with an electronic kick drum, the most fundamental component of electronic dance music, each musical part including the percussion, bassline, synthesizer melody and chords, are mixed together in real-time as the race progresses. In the field of music production, these separate music tracks may be referred to as "stems". Other music formats, like tracker modules, can package music as separate samples and note data which may also be mixed in real-time.
Tracker module support in MOD/XM/IT format will open more possibilities to interact with and remix the music including changing the tempo and interactive melodies controlled by the driver input.
Players will be able to select different soundtracks to remix as they race. Remix Racer community members will also be able to upload their own tracker modules to the community to share with other racers!
